This course will introduce you to the basic workflow of video production, focusing on post-production and editing to create fascinating results. The course will centre on a hands-on approach to creating and publishing short videos, using Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC and a short introduction to Adobe After Effects® CC. Guest experts will join the highly skilled tutors each week.

Learning outcomes

In this course you will meet Video experts, learn about the video production industry and cover the key elements of Video Production.

Participants will gain an introductory working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro CC and other related Adobe tools.

Once you’ve completed the Adobe Generation Video course, you will be able to:

  • Create high quality video
  • Critique and analyse digital video
  • Create an online video portfolio
  • Understand the key concepts of digital video production
  • Move towards the ACA certification

Syllabus

During your five-week course you'll cover the following:

  • Development: Everything from generating ideas through to shooting-schedules and video production administration.
  • Production: Shooting and gathering the video and audio content, crew, sound and camera; directing and making decisions, shooting and arranging scenes.
  • Post-Production: Including taking the video and audio assets created during the production phase and cutting or editing shots into a final narrative sequence.
